Idiot that's not common sense. He mention before the race he had calf troubles and was only competing to see where his fitness level was at. For an athlete of his caliber he should be able to run a time like that after being out for so long. Some people can recover really fast just given a couple of weeks of training/rests. If you look at the Daegu race again he had no problems keeping up with the pack until 5k. It was only after that point where he dropped out due to a LEG INJURY not because of lack of fitness. I personally ran 15 senconds off of my personally bests in the 5k after being injured for a full year while I was competing in college. It's really not that hard. He only gets the flack because he's the WR holder which means = A bunch of jealous little punks (such as yourself)will automatically start SLANDERING elite athletes when things do or don't go as well as plan. So if he wins = doper. If he's injured = coverup for doping. You're a joke dude.

Funny that most people who jump to the defense of drug accusations against people like lagat, el guerrouj, et al. always claim that whoever makes the claim must be a 'jealous idiot'. Sorry to break it to you, but I am not jealous of any athlete, especially athletes who are high on the scale potential drug cheat.
And you seem to have a selective memory so let me refresh it for you. Bekele was way off the pace, long before he dropped out. Couldn't keep up at a slow pace but is somehow able to run a world leading 10k a few weeks later. If it looks like shit, and smells like shit...well, you get the point.
