Sorry bud, both parts are 100% accurate but the present assistant only got his salary reduced by 27%. Off by 3%.

How much do these head jobs pay this year? Anyone know? For example, what does Steele make at Oregon and how much does UNI pay? Could they really lure him away?

No they aren't true. I know the people involved, and neither part is true. So don't post false information on here.

NOBODY CARES!!! Rodney Z.is not going to Miami. WHO CARES!! Move one with some productive discussion.
I can't imagine why Dan Steele would leave his salary (which I would guess to be in the 80-90k range...but just guessing) and the curreent status of the NIKE Ducks (oops...I mean Oregon Ducks) have in place. Unless he just wants to get out of Vinnie's shadow. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I am still surprised that UNI isn't through this process already.
well this will be my last post on here about the subject since people like you come on here and act like like you are in the know. My information is 100% accurate whether you want to believe it or not. No false postings.

I AM in the know, as I know the people involved. That's not who was getting the pay cut, and Rodney did not turn the job down because of "problems with the program". Out of respect for the people involved, I will stay mum. As for you, your information is not true and slanderous towards Miami.
Geopfert was only make $41,000 at UNI.

Man, I hope he was getting paid more then that....I feel bad for the rest of the UNI staff if that is true.

That's for the fiscal year of 2008. He was an asst. coach then. The UNI job pays at least $70,000
DM Register lists the 2008 UNI salaries of head coach Bucknam at $74,996. Assistant coach Case at $52,797. Assistant coach Geopfert at $41,000 and assistant coach Seiler at $33,177.
Then the new guy from Oregon will get $90K, Car and football and basketball tickets and country club memebership..

Would a mid major school really pay someone 90k? It appears that they paid their highly successful former coach 70k...would they make that kind of jump, even if you ARE from Oregon?
if they want you bad enough, they will pay, it is up to the decision of the AD...
Steele Take the UNI Job!
