its a little to late for that. i went church this morning and accepted christ as my lord and savior.
i now realize that He is responsible for all of my great success. of course i am the one who has had the perseverance to keep running/training/racing efficiently, but He gave me the special genes to be able to do so.
in heaven, everyone is equal, reguardless of what their physiological accomplishments were on earth. People such as Tergat will not look down on me because ran a faster time, he doesnt do that anyways because we are both avid members of the competitive running community; but this is just an example. in heaven, tergat and i are equals.
death isnt such a scary experience when you have religion, i now realize that i will be in a good place and that this is only my earthly body. i have faith that running will exist in heaven, and also that i will be re-acquainted with those who once lived the earthly life that i did; such as Steve Prefontaine, Moses, and the person who originally ran from Athens to Marathon without stopping and created what is now known as "the marathon"
it being a perfect place; we wont have to worry about injuries from hard plates, hematurria, muscle pain,etc...
for the sake for keeping this post ON TOPIC, you can run as many miles as you want in heaven because there will be no negative-feedback loops, consequences, or unwanted injuries that occur here for us constantly.
