It was really not that hot, people should have sweat dripping off them, it was a race. I think if you look at the Southern there were some decent performances at the sharp end but the number of sub 18.30 times has dropped off massively in the last 5 years or so. People place too much emphasis on periodisation, anybody who is reasonably good should be able to knock out a sub 18.30 time any time of the year. Take a look at the portugese training methods.
To those who thought the Northern was good, I reckon Farah would have run about 14.55 as I'd fully expect the likes of the Tickners to have run 15.30's.
