So many of these former pro runners/ "influencer" types grow up super rich and privileged, which leads them to believe they can do no wrong and thus never take accountability for their actions.
Merber is a great example - after growing up spoiled with his dad's $500,000 salary he doesn't understand the value of money, and thinks it's no big deal to defraud actual hard-working athletes who grew up with nothing out of millions of dollars.
