NBC painted Kenny as the villain for giving Noah a light shove. All to prop up their poster boy Noah who can do no wrong.
Even though the stare down and words exchanged before hand by Noah apparently wasn’t grounds for Kenny to stand his ground?
Found the coverage distasteful.
I think you are more right than anyone knows. Lyles is utterly unlikable and a punk and a poor sport. I can assure you Lyles wouldnt pull that stuff in a dark alley. Kung fu Kenny would eat him for dinner. I think kenney would have loved to flatten him, but was aware he was representin' and on TV. Good for him for just settling for a little reminder shove.
The only thing Kenny represented is how much of a loser he is.
Kenny’s girlfriend is a pro golfer from India. You think *she* has any interest in, or time to go, digging into the intricate private lives of runners? That’s laughable 😄
She's currently a 'pro' golfer in the same way guys who get a tiny stipend to go to regional meets and get knocked out in the heats are 'pro' athletes. Not sure she's even played in an official tournament since 2022.
Her last win was worth £380.
The point is not her sports income. The point is that she is operating full-time in a totally different space. Get it? What were your SAT scores?? 😆
Anyway I’m pretty confident that amount is more than any payday you’ve ever had in running.
Lyles supporter here. Agree with those that say Kenny went out of his way to push Noah. This is very obvious in the video, and Noah wasn't impeding Kenny. I'm perplexed why people don't see this.
Noah's stare down was a flex as he beat Kenny. So many sprinters do this, and even more common in other sports. Kenny lost fair and square, and has to deal with it instead of shoving his opponents.
If anyone watched Sprint, there is a scene after the Paris 100m final of Bednerek where he says whilst crying, "I'm tired of losing". Being the guy who comes second or off the podium cuts deep with Bednerek. Obviously Noah was the guy who won that race.
Very surprised by all of the Lyles hate on these forum, aren't most of you American? The guy is literally the best sprinter since Bolt, is very charismatic and a showman competitor, very consistent and often backs up his talk with results. And get used to it, because the kid who will replace him eventually isn't going to be some white middle distance runner. It is likely going to be Gout Gout if he maintains his current trajectory, and he is already talking bigger game than Lyles ever did at the age of 17.

Lyles is a great runner. but he has ridiculously cringe personality. you either see it or you don't.
Most people who regularly watch track are annoyed by him. But if you find his personality to be compatible with yours, that's great. There is a literally a group for everybody. if you can find it.

Don't get me wrong, there is aspects of Noah that I find cringe too. Is that a reason to hate him? Absolutely not. Overall is he good for the sport? 100% yes.
Josh Kerr is also cringe and outspoken. Does he make the 1500m more watchable? Yes yes yes. However, while Kerr makes his taunts on a podcast, Noah has the balls to flex in front of his competitors on the race track, and often win too. I respect that.
I agree that Noah does not fit the typical persona that track fans are used to. That's a track and field problem. Diverse personalities is probably a good thing, as most runners are batsh*t boring. Nico Young...yikes.

She's not operating full time as a golfer though? There's no record of her being in a competition since 2022.
It's more than i've ever earned from running. I have never claimed to be a pro athlete though, so it's fairly irrelevant.
Lyles moves into lane 8 from 7 away from kenny. Kenny moves over from 6 to shove him. Please don't just make stuff up.
Well, most people "move out" a lane or two after a sprint when the track curves. Yes, Kenny went slightly out of his way to push Lyles. But Lyles was right in front of him and deserved that and more for taunting obnoxiously for 20 meters.

Dood look at the footage, Noah was not even in his space...Noah is in Lane 8 Kenny is in Lane 7, the shove happened in lane 9 NIIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Noah was already moving over to the outside of the track, Kenny made it to the outside to intentionallypush Noah.....eff outta here.

Never got the argument that Lyle's antics are "good for the sport" and folks comparing him to Bolt are delusional imo. He's a great sprinter, but that's where the comparison ends. Bolt had a big personality but it wasn't fake, and he always came across as good natured and engaging and that's what people found appealing about him. Plus he set world records. Lyles just comes off like a try hard clown.
Props to Kenny for not taking the bait from Lewis Johnson to expand on why he was talking to Lyles about his showboating. Shoulda put him in a Sophie Cunningham headlock and told him what's what. But he took the high road.
I honestly was waiting for them to fight on national TV. I’m sure Lewis Johnson would have been able to physically break it up, but you can imagine how viral that would’ve gone?!?
Stephen A, Pat Macafee, Mike Greenberg and Colin Cowherd would have been all over this. Forget RunnerSpace, Flot Rack, and Citrus. Those guys would’ve forgotten to talk about the Dallas Cowboys and LeFlop for this!
