Looking just at the championships, Ingebrigtsen already has passed Coe by some margin. WRs at Olympic distances, and he will pass him overall.
But not at his main distance. No golds at outdoor global level over the 1500 in 4 years. Coe was meanwhile a double Olympic champion over the distance as well as world record holder. Ingebrigtsen has achieved neither of those feats. Not in the same class over his main distance.
No outdoor global championship victories in the 1500 since 2021. No world records over the distance. That once would have been the length of a top athlete's career.
Sebastian Coe: no global championship victories in the 800 during his career, Spannung 15 years. That would have been the combined length of three top athletes careers.
Ron Clarke: no global and no Commonwealth championship victories in the 5000m, the 10000m and the Marathon during his full career.
Steve Ovett: 1 global championship victorie during his full career (at heavily boycotted games).
I was comparing Coe and Ingebrigtsen over the Norwegian's main distance. He hasn't matched Coe and likely never will.

Ok but in an original post you started listing runners who won in their main distance, but the 1500m was not Coe's main event, it was the 800m. He raced it far more often, yet he lost many times over it. Please learn to admit mistakes. It's ok to be wrong but still be right.

You have just made an argument that the 5k isn't one of Ingebrigtsen's main events because he races it much less often than the 1500. Yet he should still be compared with Bekele and co.
The 1500 was one of Coe's main distances. It is absurd to suggest otherwise. He was not a Kipketer or Rudisha. It is entirely appropriate to compare him with Ingebrigtsen in respect of the 1500 because they both have specialised in that event. I could also choose to compare him with Elliott and Snell and they come out ahead as having been the undoubted best milers in their eras through achieving records, vanquishing all rivals and Olympic victories. We cannot say the same of Ingebrigtsen.

It is championship victories and world records that define greatness. The rest are consolation prizes. Coe held championship distance world records, two consecutive Olympic golds over the 1500, and two consecutive silvers over the 800. Ingebrigtsen can get near that.
Finally you admit it!
I don't admit anything of the kind. You found a typo.
