Josette first real breakthrough with OAC I would say. She should be the favorite to win USA’s.

She probably has it
but when tsegay broke the WR they went through 3k in 8.26
Kipyegon went through in 8.31 for her 14.05WR
today they did 8.31/2 for 14.03
The problem wasn't the first 3K. It was having to push relentlessly the last 2K without another runner which is hard to do alone. Not a problem with a male pacer or if they could get a pacer who could make it a bit further a la Haylom who got Tsegay through 3400 (more? less?)
Anyone think Nike told her not to break the WR in Rome. Wait til Eugene?
I was thinking that when I heard the lights were for 14:teens.
But with her big surge, I'm not so sure they did do that to her.

Her strength is growing! And has the confidence, obviously. She was up in that pack from the gun :)
Disgusting display of Kenyan doping. Whatever juice Kipyegon is on Chebet got a sip last year

She had plenty of time to rest before they finished.

Just thinking out loud, it is the Kenyan women's 5,000m selection event. They should set the lights for 14-flat and have a pacer for 2-3K. N'getich will take over from there. They might go well **under** 14 if the conditions are good. N'getich is a perfect pacer and she will guarantee selection if she makes it a sub-14:10 race, which isolates just her and Chebet. The second tier of Kenyan women are all in the 14:20s range.
there should be a duathlon showdown between Hamish Kerr and Josh Kerr for best Kerr.

No if Nike still cared about the sport they would stop having meets in Eugene with 100 fans
Q Hall has the best pb in the 400 field.
Lets Run !!!
Is long jump the worst event right now compared to the last 30 years. Seems most events are near their best ever, but long jump is worse than the 80s/90s.

No, I think Nike is fine with their athletes breaking WRs whenever they can.

Quincy Hall's willpower to get to the line in a 400m is unmatched.

They're usually in her group's pocket. This one is far from done, she will be chasing a way to get in the other events until the last gasp.
