This was in a suburb of Hartford (central Connecticut) and there is some forest land nearby that it likely came down from.

The history channel did two shows on bigfoot. In Northwest Canada in the forests there, they set up a trap and got blood samples that they sent to get a DNA testing done, and the tests results were very similiar to a primates DNA. The other episode anylized the patterson film and determined that it is not a person in a costume because of its GATE. A kiniseology major tested the whole thing at U of Arizona, very interesting stuff.

I went to college in Northern California at a school that at the time had an excellent program. One of the greatest things about the place was the forest trails that started right behind the school and basically went on forever.

One time I was running a new loop up off the main trail when I heard some crashing up ahead and cuaght a flash of something brown crashing through the brush away fromt eh trail. When I got up to where it had gone off, there was an unGodly smell and these huge footprints. I also got the feeling I was being watched. Unfortunately, it rained there all the time so the next day I went up with some teammates, but the footprints were washed away.

Well, I decided I didn't want to let it drop, so the day after that I bought a big bag of granola at the Coop and left a pile of it just off the trail where I had seen this creature crash through the brush. OK, so far so good. But that very next morning the kitchen window of my apartment on the edge of town had been pried open and the screen torn. There, on the table just inside, were two dead rabbits. Now, it isn't every day you get a gift from Bigfoot, so what could I do but dress them and eat them? And that Saturday I ran my best cross country race ever. All season it became a ritual--I'd leave some granola along about mid week and the next morning there would be some poor dead critter on my table. And all year I ran great, making top 7 for the first time and getting to go to the national meet.

Bigfoot never showed himself again, and one day the granola did not prompt a return gift. I ran back up the next time I was able and there was the pile, soggy and picked over by other critters. Bigfoot had moved on.

Oh yeah? Well, this one time I was hunting in Michigan, way back in the northern woods, when I saw something through my scope that I could not quite identify. It looked like a bear, but walked like a man. I quietly and carefully moved toward it, the way only an experienced woodsman like me can. Every so often I would look up through the scope and check it out. It was definitely some kind of huge hominid, but not an ape. It seemed to be staying just ahead of me.

Darkness was falling. I wasn't sure what to do, but curiousity propelled me onward. Deeper and deeper into the trackless woods we went until I saw a campfire of some kind ahead. The beast stopped at the fire and there, sitting on a log with his guitar, was Ted Nugent! "Do not harm my friend the Sasquatch," said the Nuge in a soft voice, before launching into an acoustic set of surprising grace and technical skill.

I was mezmerized by the music so much so that I forgot about the Bigfoot sitting across from me. As the music picked up pace and power and I became aware of a sort of stomping and clapping going on. I glanced around and there were now 8 or 10 of them all around, grooving on the music. Some began beating on sticks or banging rocks together in intricate rhythms while others howled in otherworldy melodies and danced around the fire and what could I do but join them? We jammed all night and as the sun rose and I bade my new friends farewell, I realized that it didn't matter if anyone ever believed me. I know the truth and that is all that matters.

Actually he wears Brooks. Anyone else remember that Brooks poster from the mid '80s? It had a shot of bigfoot from that classic "zapruder" bigfoot film with an exploded view of one of his feet, on which he/she was wearing brooks.

The tagline was something like, "the real reason bigfoot has never been caught".

I bought it off the wall of a small shoe store in a random strip mall somewhere. Still have it somewhere.

If your coach is a bigfoot expert, shouldn't warning bells be going off that he might not be the smartest guy out there?

In an update, the monkey around Big Bear Lake *could* possibly be a (sort of) famous escapee chimp named "Moe."

Hall could be a total hero if he were to find MOe.
