I mean I tend to agree with you. I brought all of those factors up because it makes it hard for Jacob to win from kicking with 600m to go. I replied from the post that said Jacob can win by just mimicking EL G strategy which did not work in 2000.
So Kerr was trying to beat Ingebrigtsen in a semi-final or was just content to qualify? It doesn't count. The final does though. Kerr beat Ingebrigtsen again (following Prefontaine) and in another championship final.
Nope. It counts. They laced up the spikes and raced.
Jeezus what a desperate argument. They didn't "race" - they were both aiming to qualify for the final. It was there that Kerr showed he was better - again - than Ingebrigtsen. But then 3 runners did that.
El G also had free use of EPO at his disposal, and his fellow Moroccans did a good job of rabbiting for him in championships indeed. Jingy doesn't have these privileges afforded to him.
No, he has something even better, since he doesn't have El G's talent. He is a workhorse to El G's thoroughbred.
Kerr was 0.01 better than Nuguse and smashed in his sit and kick game where hocker executed his play book better.
and kerr beat jacob early after injury and in the final where jacob went insane literally to set up the podium.
the reality is that jacob is in fact 2 seconds better, but has to draft himself for 800m and when he goes, create a gap so parasites like kerr dont get a free ride.
Kerr will be fresh for Zurich while Jakob has had two hard races . ( post Zurich excuse #1)
I think you are very wrong here (the #1 excuse). -Jakob said in a pre Silesia interview that a couple of weeks are more than sufficient to recover from even 5 concentrated races in OG (the last one a 5000m). Pretty sure he would laugh if somebody said 11 days weren’t sufficient before Zurich… Are you haters a little desperate now..?

I am a Jakob fan too. But your claim here is so bad that I blushed…
How many Olympics golds does Kerr have again? Right, none…. You are delusional
But he still finishes in front of Jakob when they do race. 3 in a row.
I gave you an upvote because you are of course right. But there’s a context here (Jakob being sick, being injured, screwing up his execution of tactics -not excuses and just part of the game; none of them Kerr’s fault -he too of course has suffered injuries and sickness and miscalculation in his life) but context and explanations that might or might not mean that Jakob now fully recovered beats Josh in Zurich. Or Kerr simply will eventually succeed here an in the future as a clearly better 1500m runner than Jakob -no way of knowing before quite a few more races, IMO…

I'm just guessing here, but wouldn't it be incredible if it were NECESSARY to break the WR to win in Zurich?
As someone who totally crushes on Jakob and really cannot stand Kerr… my own opinion is that Kerr is really strong right now and an amazing runner.
I actually expect him to be right there with the pacers in Zurich, going for the 1500 WR.
We can still be objective, even if we don’t care for one side or the other.
I’d like to see them both race the Indoor 2 mile And lower that record.
Josh wasn't there, sorry. He's not as good as Jakob's haters make him out to be, just to diminish Jakob's greatness in today's middle distance running. Jakob is world record holder in 2 miles, I don't think he care about indoor 2 miles, I don't think he even care about 1500m indoor.
