I haven't seen Martin Keino's article. Where did it appear? Do you have a copy of it? Or a link?
What did you think of the B&W photo of you and Salazar from the XC meet at Lane Community College that I emailed you?

The 175 day of training I ran for 48 minutes + cycling 12 minutes + 20 minutes sauna + 15 minutes whirlpool =95 minutes of training today. Are you still worried about 170lbs on my belly?
Henry
If you are down to 170 lbs, then you are progressing...you should be at 160 lbs by Christmas....stay the course....
Henry,
If the weather is pretty decent, what kind of time do you hope to run? My goal is to break 19:15. Want a pacer? I can run even splits!
What is the 55+ steeple record? Will Rono be going for it? How is the weight loss coming?

The 176 day of training phase II.34mwp + 64mhc + 25mcd =123 minutes.I felt it in the chest deep-down the belly coming up to lungs and it is white mucuses. I was spitting too much makes all the body tired.Copper hill isn't easy nowdays.
I took nap for 40 minutes.

Even the great Henry Rono could not consider running the steeple until his weight is about 150 lbs and he's well into track workouts, intervals, etc, next summer. It all depends on how long it takes him to lose the last 30 lbs and increase the pace of his running. We are all rooting for him.
To wait and see

The 178 day of training phase II,I ran for 123 minutes. It is a snowy day here Albuquerque,New Mexico,it reminds Pullman, Washington, but nothing compare with Northwest Spokane by Canadian border.
This is nothing, I needed more snow today to take away the dry air in the desert mountains of Albuquerque. This snow is for few minutes or hrs, then starts to disappear;however, I feel great by keeping the heat under my skin today, sweat internally, thus make my weights come down fast.
Coming back to your question,I will try steeplechase, but can you lend me 142lbs on my shoulders. I will give you steeplechase time and the rituals that comes a long with to get a world record for the masters divisions for age 55.
I will be honestly give the record once I get the right wieghts.
Jumping over the orbs isn't easy,it is for that lighter person and that young kid chasing the rabbits throughout the orbs in the mountains.Ain't young kid anymore.

The 179 day of training phase II, I ran for 114 minutes,It was cold this morning and the copper hills is covered by white snow.
This is not a white sand.As I step on it, I slip, but I didn't fall down.I felt it in my quads pulling and shocking the muscles that has been ready to respond on any that might occur to mybody,if I was not in this shape I could have hurt myself. The last five months have prepare me to deal with this weather today.
Be careful out there.
