Well guess what? The real J Piggott found out about that today and says he didn't post it, he has no idea who Kip Litton is, etc.
As a result, we looked up the post supposedly coming from J. Piggott who lives in VA. The post comes from Michigan and is the same IP as three other posts all defending Kip under different names. THey appear below.
Kip Litton is a marathon cheater. Please don't fall for his revisionist history.

Kip has done many races in the last 3 years, and he is actually faster than before the witch hunt started! He has just kept off YOUR radar by using aliases. Those of us who train with him know exactly which ones.

There is a disconnect between the falseness that is accepted here on Lets Run and the New Yorker, and the actual fact that it was pretty much a hoax, which is known to be the case by most everyone where Kip lives. After the story broke there were runners and a number of other people who confirmed that Kip could not have possibly cheated.

To answer medium_pace, Kip has been having the time of his life. He was voted Dentist of the year for the 5th straight time, his fan base is growing and he has been running 2:45-2:50 marathons (he ran 4 in the last 7 months). To stay out of the spotlight he has obviously been using alternate names for the races. Pretty much all of those that live in the area know by now that he was just a victim in the whole cheating thing, but I heard he is quite amused that the rest of the country still mistakenly thinks it did actually happen.
I can't speak for all the races, but I did run one marathon with Kip in 2010 (Shamrock in Virginia Beach). I can vouch that he ran a legit 2:53 there. If he could do that, all of these other race times in question are obviously within his capability. It makes no sense to cheat for finish times that are equal to or even slower than he has already run. Seems like a losing argument.

No big surprise, none of it. Watching Kip finish the marathon where he got caught just before the finish line, but was awarded first place off his start time difference, I seriously don't think the guy was running 3:30 pace and yes, I am serious.

Any innocent person would not want to stay out of the spotlight and would be boasting of such times after being accused of so much. Sure, someone wrote a story about it and he's amused versus an innocent person being pissed off and doing something about it. What a joke!

Are you serious? He hasn't been racing under different names!! His look is unique and he is well-known. He would NOT, in fact, be racing under a different name, breaking 3 hours in the process, and not let it be known. Please, get a clue or don't play along. I didn't mean the part about him running under 3 hours, though why not? He's raced under a different name before and his compulsion to cheat would probably be too great to pass up if he hopped in a race. He raced a LOT, would just just stop cold turkey?
