Powell admitted and pled guilty to essentially the facts alleged in the Fake Electors Indictment -- i.e., in a lengthy proffer, she admitted she conspired with Trump and others to try and illegally overturn the 2020 election. These people seem to kiss and make up incredibly easily -- Kennedy and Vance called Trump another Hitler and now they are all in love again -- but there's no way Trump nominates Powell when she ratted him out for what he did.
Plus I'm not sure if she has a law license anymore. Chesebro got his license smelched. So did Jenna Ellis, I think. Can you be AG without a law license?
Would also add that Powell beclowned herself so thoroughly that the Trump-packed Supreme Court wouldn't even throw her a lifeline. She's an utter buffoon — one of many, many people who risked it all to push forward a conspiracy theory designed to create doubt and lost their careers and reputations as a result.

Election cycle after election cycle, journalists give a total pass on economics knowledge to every kind of voter, no matter who is in power. It’s completely accepted that if virtually any economic variable is less than great that it’s defensible and wholly rational to blame the current administration, and assume that the opposition (that was often in power no less than 4 years prior) will make it better.
PURE stupidity. But it’s VERY rarely, if ever, criticized. Even by the talking heads.
