An admission of guilt and then he can sulk off into the shadows or whatever he wants.

For all I care, he can keep on with the charities (if they're legit and funding something other than himself of course) and/or hawking Skins for cash, but there should be awareness of the dude being a fraudster ... if that's what the investigation reveals.

Great question.

I would like everyone that gives him hard earned money on the basis of a falsehood to know that they are being defrauded. And any potential future donors to be able to make informed decisions if they still want to based on the facts.

I've been combing through the Kansas saga piece by piece. Of interest right now is their "rebuttal" to the second car wash video (https://www.facebook.com/marathonmanuk/videos/1026629384087986/) where they claim they acquired the video.

One of Rob's defenders on Facebook said that Asher confirmed that Rob's recording was a "different recording" of the CCTV footage. Did this happen? My understanding is that Asher didn't actually get the video, he had to record it at the car wash on his phone, meaning that Rob and Co. would have had to go back to the car wash to get the video (which is unlikely).

Interesting. Having watched all of the videos that Asher has available (https://goo.gl/photos/oK8L339ndAqJFZiPA), none seem to match the one Rob posted on his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/marathonmanuk/videos/1026629384087986/). Notice the pink car is clearly visible from a distance in Rob's video. Not that it makes any difference, but did they actually obtain the video?

My impression was they contacted the owner for the footage. Check the comments on his strava run through Emporia.

No, not true. YOU spoke out, but most did not. Now Steve way and robbie have thrown their hats in the ring we may see a shift.

The threads were locked or deleted on ultrarunning community, mainly by gary dalton/kiernan (oh he does love his bit of power as a new admin, wasnt long ago he was pissing so many people off in there that he was making them leave, then HE stropped off and left. Now he struts around like king dick with his new found admin powers)

How? He still has all his fans and they still pay him, and still gets all his trips paid for. Even if Skins dump him, the fans will never leave him. Challenge Running is my events name and most of the time I sign my own name Lindley on the bottom bit that time I did not as I wanted to emphasise the point of a legit runner.

There are more places to discuss and post stuff in the UK thanow the URC thread most of you are basing your opinion on. Just like there are more forums than this one in the US

Just because UK runners don't be abusive and brash about it all the time and don't get personal does not meant they have not spoken out personally.

Like I said so much good work here but sometimes spoiled by people with abusive comments hiding behind fake profiles.

I have used the same profile name on here on all my comments. How many can say the same?

There were a couple of threads on RWUK where he got a pasting from some of the regulars

StevieG and PhilPub both slated him on the second one. Latter a respectable club runner and both well known.

Lindley, you called him out and that merits a lot of respect. But the same can't be said for the UK scene. You have to agree that a lot of people have been extremely gullible.

Most runners here hadn't heard of Rob before the transcon fiasco. But the UK scene was aware of his 373 mile "record" (obvious cheat as well), his impossible PB's, his "pro cycling" career, his first 3 marathons... They should have stopped him way earlier.

I have always posted using the same handle. I imagine those that have registered their handle are happy expressing their opinions under thier own name, those that have not registered have not
