Here are a few new replies to Rob's FB page. (I especially like the one aimed at his "fanboys")

1. Hey Rob, instead of posting pointless videos why don't you take the time to address some of the reasonable questions that have been raised? There is still a ton of missing data from your run that you could upload. There are also legitimate questions being raised (not by haters but by respected members of the ultra community) about several segments ran incredible paces.

2. Well, he can't. He is just posting stuff so that his "Believers" can say: "Rob you are so great".

3. WHEN are these ridiculous fanboys going to grasp that the data he has released is DOCTORED, with CADENCE removed. Meaning that this only shows a watch rode the RV! Not that it was on a PERSON running. Go and find out what cadence means you dum dums.

And sorry, no, i'm not an "American hater", i wanted to prove he was real, but the more i investigate the more i see the mileage and speed he claimed are NONSENSE. Get real people.

If you want a hero, go find an amputee soldier that runs marathons, or cancer sufferer. This guy is a FRAUD. WHY are people too retarded to research his claims? You fanboys are a joke. It's like trying to explain to a God botherer than virgins cant have kids. PLEASE find yourself another "Jesus" because there are runners far more worthy of your adulation than this sad loser CHEAT.

He might APPEAR nice, but most con men do, as they want your money. You fanboys fund his lifestyle dont forget - so of course he wants to appear "nice".

He is a very average runner. His marathon a day stunt cannot be verified, as none were officially recorded. His other marathons are nothing special. His other Transcon is highly suspicious and is being investigated. (arriving at ALL checkpoints and the finish line BEFORE staff arrived has alarm bells ringing now) But even if he did do this, it was only 26 miles a day, not the 80 he claimed on this record attempt.

Add that to lies he was world champion, lies about Euro bronze, PB lies, etc etc and you just have a compulsive liar looking to get money off the public so he doesnt have to get a job.

His charities are also under investigation. That one Lisa Smith is involved with is HIGHLY suspect with very little going "to the children". Where's the rest going? Rob's back pocket? Well the police are involved now, so we'll soon know!

Also, the backtrack appears to take place on the other side of the guardrail. At least, it look like such a wobbly track that I'm pretty sure its a person and not the RV reversing back into the only open lane...

Here are some times:

1:17:09 - RV completes 1:56 mile, backtrack begins

1:19:21 - Backtrack complete

1:22:39 - Back at where the backtrack started, and continuing on

So that's 1:56 + 2:12 = 4:08 for Rob to have caught up assuming separation at the point when the RV began accelerating 1 mile away from lane reopening.

Another 3:18 if you include the return of the backtrack. So 7:16 might be realistic, but for an uphill mile in a transcon at 4-5K elevation I think it's still pushing it. And, that scenario would have to be that the driver took the GPS watch with him, backtracked for Rob, saw him approaching but didn't completely wait for him and returned to the RV, arriving at it just as Rob catches up...

I still think the backtrack was them knowing they messed up and trying to re-do it. Or maybe they wanted to check something they drove over, could be a million things, idk. I like how everything fits with the lane closure story though.

While there is no obligation to provide it, it would be interesting to see the original, unedited (if edited) data files with HR and such.

This is an important point to make the panel aware off quickly. The analysis must be done on the original TomTom data. And those data should be released to the public immediately. A crowd sourcing of the original data will also help the panel in their work.

I think the RV data is almost more important. It's the only data that was gathered without the running team able to alter it. If they were smart, they'd destroy the watches and claim any suspect TomTom stretches were due to the watch being on in the RV.

The tracker is dead accurate on the night through Emporia with the CCTV, and Asher/others located the RV using that tracker data, so there is no plausible explanation IMO for it being just for 'fun' and therefore inaccurate. It's also implausible that the RV didn't see RY at least every few hours (and they've also said it rarely lost track of him), so it has to be a reasonable tool for tracking him and his pace over long periods of time.

Someone from the Ulist gathered the RV tracker data even after it was pulled from the site. Let's hope he participates and provides that data. The 3 or so people who got the tracker kml data should show Investigator how they got it so it can be proven authentic and analyzed again.

Where is Michael Sphincter now?

Given Jamie SKINS has commissioned an investigation into the cheating, the implication is that Sphincter was also involved.

So at the very least Sphincter must have been asked to report on what happened, and been challenged to admit or deny his role in the cheating.

Given we now have an investigation, and not an outright admission of cheating from SKINS, we can therefore assume Sphincter denied everything when questioned by his employers.

This can only damage Sphincter more when the truth is established by the investigation.

Looks like an interesting team. The American (Pielke) is more of a social scientist and data wonk, while the South African (Tucker) has more of a background in human performance.

Agreed. This is a problem with much of his run. He said he had the data, but now we only see parts of it. I don't think he can contribute all of those miles to "forgot to start the watch" or more likely "forgot the watch in the RV". So without the data, it is very likely he didn't run the whole way.

I disagree. If the internet is out to prove I cheated, I would definitely delete a route that I didn't run because they would try to use it as evidence I cheated, even if I'm not claiming it was me running. However, this goes back to your first point.

I agree with this as well. The more times we find the GPS is used in the RV (or bike), point out the gaps in the data, and find evidence of incredible paces, it all helps to build the case.

Don't know if its been mentioned yet, (I'm at the point where I only read the last couple pages and skip others I've missed) the left watch on the RV excuse (which I expect them to go with) is noy very plausible.

Someone would have to start the watch for it to record data, you don't start the watch and then just forget to take the watch that is at least in your hand, more than likey strapped to your wrist behind.

In addition. GPS watches don't accident fall onto one of your fellow crew members wrist, strap itself and start tracking by itself when this "observing" crew member is out for a bike ride.

Not really. In the video he talked about forgetting for a minute or two to hit start. Gaps of 10-50 miles is impossible for someone running this type of race. You don't accidentally run 10-50 miles and not turn your watch on or forget that you don't have it on your wrist.

Yes, I contacted them on 19 June and had a reply on 21 June advising it had been changed, but "Not sure why it was changed but we've had a check and have amended to match the official results." So, no explanation there.

I don't think Simon & Schuster will be that fussed about plagiarism given we've already identified that text, or very similar, is almost common currency on the internet already in multiple locations. However, they may be less impressed if they are linked to a known cheater - if that is the outcome of the investigation. I'm going to bide my time on that one.

Agreed. Given the frequency with which he looks at the watch whilst running in the videos he posted to his own Facebook page, no way would he notice if it either wasn't on his wrist or wasn't started! My Garmin gives me an audible alert several times before switching to standby mode if I've paused it and forgotten to restart - can any TomTom owners advise whether Rob's models of watch have a similar feature?
