Seeing all the other marathon cheater stories, the thing that sets Kip apart is that he's better at it. His splits almost make sense and he has a detailed plan involving wardrobe changes. It's not like the London guy who ran the 2nd half in 3:38 per mile and says he just trained hard, or the woman who runs 14 minute miles in races and splits but somehow gets a couple BQs. And Kip is cheating to get times that are only marginally out of his ability.
Give it up for Kip. He's still the best.

How do the wardrobe changes make any sense?
Kip is not the best.. I'm sure there are other active ones out there that are too good to get caught. It doens't take a rocket scientist to single him out, either on paper or live in a race. He correctly relied on poor or no controls to get away with his easy cheating. At the end of the day, no one is going to care to look into a 2:40-3hr runner. Even easier in big races with plenty of people and timing mats.. no one cares or thinks it can happen. One thing that we can applaud him for is his determination and investment.. he worked very hard to see the sub 3s on paper.

Pictures of him in different running attire at the beginning and end of races and along with split times for races with the second half being run 2 to 3 minutes faster per mile than the first half were discovered by many race directors when investigating Litton. He even went as far as to make up an entire marathon with fictitious names and times, to record a time for himself.
It is stories such as these to lead my fellow race directors to be thorough in tracking numbers. In addition to the lap counters in the reservoir at miles 3, 6, and 9, there were check points at the 11, 13, 16, and 19 mile marks..."

A quick check of the marathon results show not even one single race with a second half mile pace that is 2-3 mins faster than the first half. Furthermore there wasn't even one race with a pace difference of close to a minute. Those are facts. Not a single person ever said they saw him cheat. That is fact. Eight Bostons in a row without a dq or even a single issue. More facts. His entire family was at these races and confirmed he didn't and couldn't have cheated. That is fact.
Some poor saps that read this misleading stuff or the fiction in the New Yorker may actually think its accurate. The rest of us realize that these accusations have just snowballed into a sensational viral hoax.

That's nnot True. From the New YOrker, the eadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon determined, "that Litton had, improbably, run the second half eleven minutes faster than the first. In addition, he found photographs of Litton only at the start and the end of the course. Deadwood disqualified Litton, and Straughan followed suit in Missoula."
So he was DQd. So please stop lying.
There was even a race that was MADE UP.
I've offered Kip Litton $1000 to simply run a marathon. That offer still stands (he must run it in a LetsRun.com singlet). I'll pay him another $1000 if he breaks 3:30.

Robert Johnson aka Rojo, you would not believe this, but I'm not sure this is the work of Reputation dot com. Kip has some "friends" in the online community who defend him and seem to believe he is innocent (why i do not know). I suspect they are people who do not actually exist and are fake FB accounts/puppets controlled by Dr. Kip Litton himself. The only exception may be a Dan Baxley. Dan Baxley supposedly is a real person (not sure of this though) who attended Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management for his MBA (I really wonder how in heck he was accepted there with such a low intellect if he really believes Kip to be innocent. He also looks like some kind of anti-government radical on his facebook).

Probably true, but Kip is still my favorite marathon cheater even if he's not the best. And the wardrobe changes were a miscalculation. He figured he'd cover his number and have different clothes so no one would connect the Kip at the finish with the random guy in different clothes out on the course. He didn't count on the photos being clear enough and people looking hard enough to pick him out even in different clothes.
Kip is definitely the most entertaining and with his ongoing preposterous denials he keeps himself in the spotlight. It's almost like he enjoys the spotlight.
Does Dan Baxley wear a wig too?
