Thanks. What strikes me, are that the two distributions at walk pace (around 5.5 kph) and at run pace (12 kph) are quite stable pre- or post- June 12. And also their relative strength: RY spends only about 15% of his uptime running, the rest is walking. Clearly not a way to be able to break a Transcon record, except if you throw in some portions in the RV at 16 kph, that strangely disappear after June 12 ;-)

No kidding, I think most of the fanboys and girls (seems there are more girls than boys) are fake. As with Lance Armstrong, even post exposure, there were legions who thought he did nothing wrong, given the bigger picture of rampant cheating throughout the sport. He was a noble warrior in the thankless battle against cancer so the ends justified the means.

I noticed the same thing when the "Iron Cowboy" did his stunt last year, promoting some BS magnetic field scanning product and Essential Oils along the way. The supporters of these guys seem to tend to be the "female, anti-vax, stay-at-home, post on FB about my 36min 5K, involved in online pyramid/multi-level marketing schemes" type. Not as a rule out definitely a trend. These people will believe almost anything you tell them convincingly.

RY and like sure know how to work the demographic though, gotta give them that.

Considering there was only 1 other bloke 20-24, Why didn't he come 2nd??!!

Yep. No response yet from the organiser or the ETU. I think it's legit given there were less than 200 entrants and long distance triathlons are usually done by more experienced athletes.

Rob is a wonderful human being and a true Christian, who I have met many times on the trails in Richmond Park and he is also a valued member of our congregation at St Peters, often helping with the fundraising and collection boxes

For what it is worth on this poisonous chatsite I believe Rob, and if he says what he has done is true I believe him. As a Christian we have duty to protect children and Rob has done the Lords work many times by raising awareness and funds.

Rob doesn't just run he MARCHES ON IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

This is a couple years worth of run data I think, should include a marathon training cycle or two, triathlon phases, an ultra. I am a mid-17, 36, 1:22, 2:56 PR guy (yes, typical hobby jogger) and this included a variety of long slogs, steady runs, races, tempos, track workouts.

Really looks like Rob Young has another modality of transportation prior to 6/12 that would do me wonders in my training ;) Was thinking I could scrape some pro-runner's Strava and do a comparison to Rob Young, any suggestions?

I"m friends (IRL and on Strava) with an Aussie guy who is a 2:19 marathoner - narrowly missed out on going to the Olympics this year - I could ask him or can one just look at their Strava? I'm not much of a tech geek, sadly.

No, this is about the registration of his company, not of his website.

MarathonManUk.com was registered on 2014-05-20, so about a month after his first marathon. Before, he used the RunWildUK.com website (registered in 2011).

Jesus was DQed from the Jeruselum Cross Run when multiple witnesses reported that Simon of Cyrene carried Jesus' cross for a portion of the course.

I'd go with an ultramarathoner who is in the habit of posting all their training to strava. Strava has a pros category. Perhaps Sage Canaday.

Could you have the same x axis for both the pre and post Laz arrival? This way the change in speed would appear more dramatic at a first glance

Good work on the histograms but surely we need a comparison with a transcon or similar length 'run' by a known/trusted ultra guy, so we can look at the run-walk distribution of his effort? Not his regular training (or sub transcon racing) where he is probably 100% running.
