If you know anything about Laz or the Barkley Marathons then you know this is as legit as it gets.

I think in regard to the 3 initial marathons we can safely say the times these were completed in is very unlikely, he may have ran all 3 but a lot slower. Probably changed by the publisher to increase book sales and drum up hype.

If they were done in 5 hours a piece I'd believe it off of no training. He does however have some results that show he can run 3.20-3.30 back to backs but these were done a few months into his daily marathon runs.

I completely agree, I was just summarising on the points raised about the believability of his wiki page and those raised in this thread

The man's story is complete bullshit, it's plain as day.

From personally knowing some of his friends and supporters - lovely people - I have to assume Mr Young is a very nice young man, but evidence suggests he's also likely something of a troubled fantasist.

The credulous people egging him on (and assisting him) really need to have a good look in the mirror and consider where this is all going; the potential for the inevitable opprobrium to leave a harmless and vulnerable loon in ruins is clear.

If you want the right data, you have to take it down and massage it a bit.

A lot of sleuths are trying to figure out timelines. I started looking into this as well, but the website is super clunky. Looking at the network calls (Open your dev tools in your favorite browser), it looks like the tracking data is being served up from

, but I'm not able to access it now (?!).

The other line just looks like the planned route, which I'd imagine would not be a perfect fit, since any real route would have to make runtime changes. Here's that one (still good afaict):

In theory, for those that are interested, you can download this directly and massage it for a spreadsheet, where it will be really interesting, or even load it directly into google earth, for which the sleuthing will me much easier is a lot better.

In the video, he says that is stores the location data on the device for 5 days, so if it cannot connect, it will put everything up once it re-connects as long as its not over 5 days.

No problem, we'll have that data back up in no time.

If he did take 5 hours for the first one wouldn't he have been late into work? If they did take longer then this gives him less rest in between them, which makes them tougher. If (most likely) these were just long runs and not marathons doesn't this invalidate his claim of most marathons in a year? (Or were these not part of that)?

The watches he shows in the video are TomTom Runner watches.
