That is all there is to it and I am guessing all his supporters are just as shallow and slow minded as you. If there is anything that he should be commended for is he has been a great role model to bunch of special needs people. He seems to feel right at home in that environment.

So Rob's wikipedia page still lists his 5k PR as 15:56. I recall on this thread we had it pinned down to about 18:55. Rob's local parkrun is Richmond and I presume athlete Robert HP Young is Rob. His 5k PR is listed there as 20:01. I know Kev and other supporters say that Rob just runs these 5ks for fun, as part of his daily marathons but it would be good if Rob turned up at the parkrun and lowered his PR to 17:XX. That would impress me more than any of his obscure multi-day ultramarathon records.

There's a buttonhook in that one, too - right at the start of mile 8, after a slow mile - Rob walking around back to get in the RV and ride the rest of the way?

The button hooks seem to be unique in the suspect night runs. They resemble what the gps signal would look like if you stepped out of the van from riding to stretch your legs and then start running. Or after you were done running and getting into the van to ride for the next 15 miles or do.

What they definately do not look like is a true ultra runner taking a drink or walking break. A true walking break would keep you moving forward. You would not waste time or energy circling around the van.

I've got another potential bombshell, but I really need to talk to somebody who has the book. Does anyone have it? Or at least excerpts?

I only have the kindle sample version (first 2 chapters). Asking price is ridiculous. Perhaps reach out to his facebook fans (or ex fans wanting their money back).

Agree re the smoking gun, if it can be proved beyond reasonable doubt that it's possible to differentiate between walking/jogging and RVing then he's done.

Can't find any good reference values for running, more of a cycling metric, but maybe you guys can check some strava segments or something to compare this to famous ascents by runners.

But see, Rob is a mythical creature of pure endurance. His forte is logging 80+ miles without stopping. His ability to endure pain and push through the miles is congruent with the amount of abuse he suffered as a child, which means he is superhuman. A fast 5k??? It takes 30 miles just to get him warmed up, what an efficient machine!

100 Swiss Franks that Mr Fuller's panel will not be able to do that.

He hasn't got the best reputation.

And all these "independent experts" is the same shenanigan that the world cycling federation tried to pull off for years.
