As cliche as it is to say this: Brady Coleman and Bromell all had Kerley beat off the start and through the drive phase. Kerley had a poor start. It really was that speed endurance he's built up from the 400m that allowed him to hold his top speed longer and overtake them all.

Look at Kerly at about 55m...he had a slight hitch to the right that I think kept him from running to a clearer win.
