What fallacious reasoning you use. Faster is not the same as better. Farah ran the BEST 5k and 10k of the year - the ones that won the Olympic golds. 1. Farah stands no chance when the race goes out hot.
2. Kipchoge is at the point where his pacers make the pace too hot for everyone but Kipchoge.
Very few of us were picking Yuki to win Boston last year, though, too.
40-year-old Kipchoge will be loaded with dope and will be wearing cheater spring shoes. He can't be beat.

Lagat's 1500m time proves he was capable of more in the mile, but no one talks about Lagat as if he were a 3:43 miler. Contrast that with how people talk about Farah. None of his times indicate he could have run 12:45, but I'm supposed to believe he could have run way faster at all distances but never did because "he only cared about winning." If Farah was capable of much better times, why didn't Salazar put him in fast races like he's done with Rupp and Kejelcha? It doesn't make sense to me.
• Farah ran 13:03 in the Olympic final to win (qualifying rounds and 10,000m race in legs) with a last lap of 52.83 seconds.
• His PB is 12:53.
• It’s not unreasonable to think he could have run 12:45.
• That’s less than 0.6 seconds per lap faster than his PB without a big kick final lap.
• In the right race chasing a fast time, it was possible.

Why do you think I’m a Farah fan? Because I accurately pointed out that it is hilarious to tout Kipchoge’s 2012 win over Farah in a meaningless indoor 2 mile when Farah was targeting the Olympics, where he won two gold medals? Maybe if Kipchoge hadn’t been so fit at a pointless indoor two mile then he wouldn’t have finished an embarrassing SEVENTH at the qualifying race to just go to the Olympics.
