I'm surprised Avanetti didn't wait until tonight to unveil Swetnick. Obviously must've known her story would only hold up for a few hours. In this day and age, 24 hours is an eternity in the news cycle. He should've waited 'til at least 9 p.m. eastern time for maximum effect.

There are "literally" 5 accusations of sexual assault. This isn't a court of law, it's a lifetime job. Innocent until proven guilty is not a presumption in politics.

"Innocent until proven guilty" IS a pretty well-respected social more in the USA, whether you're in court or not.

Not if you require that the Senate MUST consider who the president sends to them. Give them a deadline to vote. Make it 4 months. The Senate majority leader cannot stop the vote. It would be automatic.
