Barega certainly isn't 18 (just google pics of him from the past 2 years, hoo-hah). And he isn't clean. That's not even debatable.

As the smart guys predicted - the guys who warned one all about the drug use in E. It'll rival the glory of days of cheats like Geb, a spectacular responder to drugs, running wild and laughing at everyone. And the lemmings will think the laughter is from joy, rather than it being triggered by the gullibility of the lemmings in the first place. LOL Don't worry, by next season Kenyans will be running 3:25, 12:40 along with the rest of the best responders from Ethiopia. And the naive lemmings will eat it up.

Jacob was 2nd in 1500m, not in the 5000m; he was 3rd in 5000m and Barega finished 4th behind him.

Looked like a juiced up race to me. Reminded me of Tour De France Lance Armstrong era. Or a better comparison would be when Dieter Bauman won the 5k gold. No effort at all. I was only 10 at the time and I knew he wasn't playing fair when I watched him win gold.

With Kejelcha denying Barega a win by grabbing his shorts not too long ago in Lausanne, it's possible he decided to pace him to give back the win and a fast time. Great job by those two.

that's the type of race that delivers your theoretical great time, and barega and gebrewhit (spellin) could have run faster even still by 3 or so seconds at least, based on the speed of the final lap.

But Barega's time pisses me off on so many levels. Well I'm happy because it proves what I've always said, the weather/wind make a HUGE difference in times. But it pisses me off that Jager didn't go for a fast one in pristine conditions himself.

As for drugs, I don't get why people think Barega is on drugs. Ok, the time might make you think that but people who think his 4th at World juniors or African champs and this time here means he's on drugs don't get it.

Why wouldn't he be on the same drug for world juniors or African champs? To me druggies are normally consistent as well.

I'm not saying he isn't or is on drugs. I"m just saying that the idiots who claim his 4th at world juniors means he's on drugs don't get it. IF anything, inconsistency to me woudl mean you aren't on drugs.
