Why Kennenisa Bekele in 2016 run 2:03:02 with nike zoom streak 6 , then when vaporfly 4% came out he never run so fast again ??? Come on if the shoes is really 4% , also if Bekele wasnt in that 2016 shape he could have run still that fast.
Yes of course he had some drop out but also in other races never run so fast like in Berlin 2016.

This been said to me they are amazingshoes , 4% but also zoom fly, and now zoom flyknit , they share the same design but with little differences. The great "advantage" if we want find one is that are very confortable shoes (for their particular
foam volume) to run a marathon and this not only for Elite but also for "normal " people. No problem to run a 3 hour
marathon for somebody of about 70kg with those Nike shoes. While I would not run a 3 hour marathon with the Adidas adios boost except I m very light (55kg) and very efficient by biomechanic point of view).
Adidas are fantastic shoes but the shoes used by their Elite runners are totally different by the Vaporfly concept.
better shoes mean better form, means less injuries.
probably the best thing to do of all,
is just spray rubber on your bare foot, to mimic the natural foot strike, adapted to concrete.
banning that would be akin to banning bare foot.
then you'd be looking at forcing people to run in "bad" shoes.
so no ban on the new shoes....
