Back in the 90s - Saucony Jazz were by far the worst. As a severe forefoot-running supinator (I roll each forefoot towards the left on strike), these didn't even last a single 4 mile run - I sheered the entire left front bottom tread off. Those little triangle rubber treads didn't stand a chance. I was very light at the time, so it wasn't a weight thing.

The worst shoes ever created (by a long, long way) for supinators...

Glad I'm not the only one. I actually loved my pair. Great ride, good for running on concrete/pavement, but wow they were completely fucked after 150 miles. Great shame really.

I am Nike shoe tester and ran in the Elite 9 before they came out. During testing, I had an issue with the zoom pocket collapsing. I had also heard this was happening on the Pegasus as well. Either way, I was told that thanks to the heads up from the testers the problem would be resolved. So I purchased both the elite 9 and the Pegasus 34 and sure enough, 200-300 miles in the pockets began to collapse. The rubber almost looks brand new but the foam is so beat on them that the pockets collapse. Will not be buying Nikes to run in again anytime soon.

Brooks! Their shoes back in the late 70's and early 80's sucked! They wore out so fast and the uppers and toe box just ripped apart. Worse shoes I ever owned.

What do I wear now? Brooks! They are good shoes, last quite awhile, and they don't wear out so quick. Of course I only run about 15% of the mileage that I used to! Another reason is that I live near the Brooks corporate headquarters. Twice a year they have their factory truckload sale. Huge reductions on the factory seconds for mainly minor cosmetic flaws.
