I do not believe Michael Jordan was a 4.3 40 yard dash fella. NFL Combine standardized how 40 yard dash is measured in U.S. What was Jordan's 40 yard dash speed when he played baseball in White Sox organization? He surely was not a sub-4.8 40 yard dash man during his White Sox years.

There's serious doubt about because he ran the 100 in his prime and didn't get it. In 1996 when he was way sub 20 in the 200 he still only ran 10.12. By his admission at the time he wasn't a pure sprinter and bombed in his match race against one of the top 100 meter guys of that era.
I went to high school with a highly rated division 1 basketball player. He ended up playing in the G League but never really sniffed the NBA. He was a 50 second 400 runner, jumped 6 foot 6 in the high jump, and went around 21 feet in the long jump. I believe he ran a low 11 100 meter. There is no way that Michael Jordan wasn't better than him in every single one of those events.

he ran 10.12 from blocks, on the curve, to start his 19.32.
a)the curve definitely slows you down
b)zero chance he ran that first 100 meters at 100% speed
I watched a lot of games live real close.
He was the quickest on the floor. He was a human cat. No wasted body movement.
Super intelligent. When the momentum of game turned., he’d dive into lane for a foul. Would take slow walk and slow dribble pre free throw.
Bulls were down by 18 in 3rd qtr to magic. They went half court press. From the 2nd row it looked like mj Ron Harper and Scottie were holding hands at half court - impossible to dribble through.
I was at the iverson game. Yes, he shook mj out of shoes one move but most of that game mj hung with the smaller dart - most impressive.
Some guys just exude IT. He was a multi cultural phenomenon. It’ll be interesting to see if zion fixed his knock kneed.
Michael Jeffrey Jordan in his prime would have been the greatest sprinter of all time! If he wasn’t busy slamming and jamming it for the big bucks he could of run sub 10 off of only two months training. The only thing stopping him from running sub 9 would have been his giant hands.

You gotta go with what he really did, not what you think he could have done. Splits aren't official and Johnson did run actual 100 meter races throughout his career, never under 10 seconds or even close.

Low 11 to sub 10 isn't just "better", it's the difference between a mid range off the shelf Mustang and Bugatti Veyron.
