The depth in terms of quality in the movie industry was absurd. Just looking over the Best Picture nominations on wikipedia made me nostalgic. Heck I remember being pissed John Malkovich didn't win best supporting actor for "In the Line of Fire," as it was a movie I really liked as a teenager, but he was up against Pete Postlethwaite (In the Name of the Father) and Ray Fiennes (Schlinder's List) - not to mention the winner was Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive).
Many of the movies from the first half of the 1990's spawned quite a bit of the handles on letsrun.com, e.g. Karl Hungus from this thread.
