I have no idea what's going to happen at mile 23 or 24. Last year I was closing in on an 8:00 pace and 3:30 and then just hit the wall hard at 24 or 25, as I recall. I won't know what will happen this year until I hit the last few miles and my legs either maintain or give out.
We'll see.
I'd take some confidence from those mile repeats. A workout I would do is 6 x 1 mile at 6:15 to 6:20 w/ 800 jog recovery. I ran miles 25 and 26 @ 6:25 pace.
