Why else would anyone want to root against the guy is beyond me.

Because people on these boards don't like those who have been associated with doping. Mary Decker at 36 with same coach is suspended but everything she did since age 15 is now suspicious. Galen Rupp has been doping since 16 again according to posters. But when the hero Ritz is now implicated again alk with the same coach who had that reputation long before Ritz signed with him there are now all sorts of reasonable excuses that don't apply to anyone else.

I mean why bother with the outlandish reasons like sabbotoge masseuse or hooking up with a tainted prostitute when you can just say your coach pressured you and you felt you had to in order to keep your sponsorship.

Not rooting against him but would rather see someone else step up to root for.

You don't know the levels/amounts of what he was given. Until that is positively known, it's just rhetoric and nothing more. Yes, he took something, but what did it do to his performance? Was it against the rules---the amount and type?

He's raced well as of late, but that's not enough for a lot of you guys. If he had taken 5th in that road 10k, you'd have said "see". I almost asked him "you don't read Letsrun do you?", but I'm glad I didn't as I know he's smarter. I no longer have to wonder why guys like Rodgers, Meyers, etc...don't post here anymore (someone claimed that they on a thread last Fall). As for those talking about grey hair, who cares! Genes are genes, whether you lose it or it turns grey sooner, who cares! He's a tough cookie and so many of you guys don't realize that, what a shame!
