Good point....to a point. If Pre were in the same spot, his tweets would have had far more bluster and heft.I would see it more like the Garside exchanges. However, I see a few inconsistencies:Let me start by saying that I was not part of the Nation, but the same tweets like this for Linden were lambasted harshly when made by Acosta in the past. No, not about PEDs but about other things.I will add that this tweet had no precedent. What do I mean? Nobody thought less of Des because Hasay placed third. They may, however, because of this. Not because I think Salazar is clean, but that it casts indirect aspersions against anyone trained by salazar. Many are those whom she would call friends; you do not malign your friends. It may be 'funny' regarding Salazar, but for Salazar alone. It is bad for everyone else.

I like Desi and I like the tweet. I see her as the type of blue collar runner that we all respect. She may not have the medals, times, and glamour of others but she appears to have gotten all she legally can out of her talent. What more can you ask of her?
She respects the sport. She's tired of the cheaters. She's on the backside of here career. What does she have to lose?
Put it this way for the "praise all things Nike" crowd. If Pre were in the same spot (and not a Nike guy), do you think he'd keep his mouth shut?
He would've been awesome on twitter!
