Overall:
It's late July.
Hot as hell in Eugene.
The race times have all been solid.
Kudo's so far for:
The team point thing does make it more interesting.
The stands have been getting fuller as the meet's gone on.
FREAKIN' Split Screen during the women's Steeple and
M Triple Jump!
Lots of Eugene rhythmic clapping / loud enough / engaged crowd.
Eugene - in the middle of nowhere, 8+ hours from Bay Area, 5+ hours
from Seattle, traffic problems from Portland on a Friday afternoon from 2.30 ish on.
Eugene managed to get enough free/non-paid old geezer volunteers to show up, and not wilt in the sun.
All the equipment, tents, athlete amenities are out.
For a first effort, during vacation time. Not a bad local crowd, if you consider that The Euge has hosted the NCAA's and the OT's this year.
Opportunities:
--Some camera innovations ala the old XFL. (HeHateMe 1 and 2 ought to like that.)
Are there any camera's with enough built in motion control to be worn in a race??? That would be lit, man! ;)
--Some as yet unthought of creative promotions to get even more fans.
...
Politely List your sincere suggestions for future improvements here. Someone will forward them to the Eugene folks.
