Let's bring this thread back, now that some HS records have gone out the window. Dellapelle? Skodlowski?

For the sake of this debate, we'll divide it into two categories: ran in DE during HS career, and ran at UD. DE runners who ran at UD are eligible for both categories.

Pat Riley gets my vote for DE runner, but DiGenarro has to be the best UD runner. The man won John Mortimer's Millennium Mile and beat the likes of Matt Downin in sub-4 minutes (granted it was downhill).

paul vandegrift? could be wrong, but was he from delaware? has to up there if so.

Hey - i appreciate the shout outs. i was from Delaware, and now live in Villanova. Yep...1:04 at Caesar Rodney and 3 Olympic Marathon Trials. Funny...Caesar Rodney was a fine race...but i ran so much faster races than that one. Good luck to the up and comers. BTW - Greenplate was tough in HS, as was his team-mate Jim Bray (4:15 mile as a HS senior)
