That, or maybe he thought they were being followed by investigators after meeting with Dr. Doping Expert? I'd imagine running a doping program comes with a high level of paranoia. Seems link if there was a valid emergency or other reason for ditching the place he might have mentioned it to the massage therapist.

My dog has terrible allergies and I see an animal dermatologist in the Bay Area. My dog had blood work done to test for various allergies, and then a custom mix of allergens was created. I'll have to look at the labels on the vials because they're still in the fridge to see how nondescript they are. I was given a big bag of needles with instructions on how to do the injections myself. The allergens had to be carefully refrigerated at all times, were expensive, and took several weeks to make. I also had to keep to a strict injection schedule. While this is for my dog, I imagine the scenario is the same for humans, as is reflected in the comments below.I can imagine that Galen had a custom mix or two of allergens, and given the hassle of waiting for new vials and the need to stay on schedule, I can see why Alberto had them shipped to him. Occam's razor people...simplest explanation is the most likely.

If AlSal is really so secretive and closed off to his own group, then I find it hard to believe that he would not be way too paranoid to let some guy he just met mail him his EPO and testosterone. Just doesn't seem to quite add up.

People made the same argument about the carelessness of leaving dope behind for outsiders to see in cycling. Makes no sense, they'd never be so sloppy, etc.

I wanted to hear more about the androgel. I did not want to just rely on the 2002 report, that seemed thin. This seems pretty bad. I am trying to figure out why Epstein left it out of his story.. Investigative reporting begets more reporting.

Yup. The grammar was a little off but it's pretty easy to understand what he's saying. And you see how you completely changed the meaning of his words by omitting the first part?

It was probably EPO and needles for the whole team. Salazar was sloppy.

Honestly, it just doesn't seem that bad. I get allergy shots, with a needle, at my doctor's office every single Tuesday afternoon. I have been doing this for the last 19 years. They keep the clear liquid they inject in a vial that is always kept cold until I come into the office. It would be pretty simple for me to administer the shots to myself if I had to, for example, if I was on the road all the time competing and training.

Just like a lot of the evidence in these articles, it's all relatively deniable and just sounds much worse when you are uninformed.

Prednisone? Please, I know guys who have taken prednisone.

Inhalers? Please, so many people have inhalers. Do you guys not get this?!

Allergy medicine that has to be injected and kept cold? Go to any local pediatrician and see the KIDS coming in for their weekly allergy shots.

Some of you seem to be ignoring or forgetting that not all of this is tied to John Stiner, not that there's any reason not to believe what Stiner says.

Steve Magness is in possession of e-mails from both Salazar and Rupp begging for the return of an unmarked vial that Magness and his girlfriend found in a rental car. Both Rupp and Magness referred to the contexts of the vial as "allergy serum."

How asinine does someone have to be to think that Rupp, whose medical care and life is based in Oregon, could not have simply seen his local allergist to get what he supposedly needed for his allergies (assuming he really is on some special blend), and instead was willing to wait for that vial to arrive all the way from freakin' France?

And again, it's hardly as if this is a STAND-ALONE anomaly. It's out there against the backdrop of at least 17 accusers and Salazar's remarkably shady past.

You do know its possible to hate doping, but to value due process more? Just because you don't like Salazar isn't a reason to string him up.

Taking the word of someone who admits to being willing to cover up potential evidence of doping but only comes forward years later is not real smart. Most of what he says about Salazar (particularly about his own words) does not ring true to me.

The frustrating thing is that there will be no smoking gun. There will only be shadow play and allegations. What's been presented so far is only highly impeachable circumstantial evidence and is only likely to serve as a Rorschach for what you feel about NOP and Nike.

I am actually hoping that there is a positive test somewhere or a credible witness. Everything that has been presented so far is on the seamy side of legal and probably no different than what happens in other elite camps all around the world. It's not clear that WADA rules were violated at this point and all that this is going to do is to engulf US track for the next few years.
