Lance Armstrong on BBC: I'd do it again.

I do not hold this against him. Probably one of the most honest things he has ever said (that not being a high bar).

The circumstances then were such that in order to compete at that level one had to be doping. He wanted to be the best and get the financial and other rewards that came with it. He grew up not poor, but not rich and wanted to be. In his mind it was not cheating since everyone was doing it (a common refrain--those who speed use the same logic).

Of all the things he has said over the years, this is the less repugnant to me.
