So you meant to say recently, yet you mention El G and also say "that haven't eventually been busted, meaning a longer time frame. I realize you are just a troll/hater, but you aren't very good at it. I didn't post the recent guys, I posted the greats. But yes there are plenty of recent Moroccan/Algerian national class runners who have not tested positive, as hard as that may be for you to believe.

El G retired in 2005/6, so I mention him as the end of the "Free pass" and state-sponsored years for Morocco. Since then, what have they done? They used to beat the Ethiopians and Kenyans on a regular basis, now they are invisible, except Makhloufi the doper, who once he got his medals retreated again, like the Turkish women.

This makes me optimistic that at least Morocco has stopped state-sponsored doping and only renegades like Mak are a problem. It was for them an interesting period, 1990-2005, as it was for Spain, another dope haven of the period.

Makhloufi is Algerian.

So one/some of the biggest doping nations during one of the biggest EPO periods (with no viable test)?

Rumours of state sponsored activity plus other rumours from athletes of that period of open use of 'stuff' while out altitude training.

You're gonna come back at me with the tired old 'unsubstantiated rubbish' line as per usual. But it was the same for Lance, same for Kenya, same for all of them. You mugs want undeniable proof and refuse to see the obvious until then - it's obvious, get a grip on yourself and join the good/intelligent side of the debate.

As much as I get abuse, when I call an athlete/group of athletes out for doping, I'm nearly always proven correct in the end. I had to put with years of 'No Kenyans dope, where are all the positives, blah blah blah'.

So your argument is you don't believe a single one of them could have competed clean because:

1) Where they are from

2) When they ran (which is a span of over 20 years - not all the same era, and not all during a time that no EPO test existed)

3) The fact that they are fast

I didn't ask for undeniable proof, and you are assigning arguments to me that I did not make (Lance being clean, all Kenyans being clean, etc.).

You think the "intelligent side of the debate" is that every elite runner from North Africa dopes? That's funny.

Ammar, let me give you big props for coming on here and being willing to debate, I give you back a lot of that respect simply for that.

as far as repping a religion, I think we'll go in endless circles if we start debating chicken/egg arguments over palestine & such.

on the subject of lumping all ppl in a group as dopers based on one persons actions, I agree that it's "not fair" but I would also contend that IF someone really gave two $#its about their reputation, their sports reputation, their sponsors reputation, etc, they would get the hell away from a situation like that. Notice that Mo Trafeh could never get any americans to train with him, but it was a piece of cake to have plenty of moroccans. why do you think nobody from here wanted to have anything to do with him? I think torrence is clean but I question how he could have affiliation even remotely to makloufi or those involved with him. How farah could be training with Hamza is beyond me, that should be VERY scary for nike and the nop. It would be similar to desi davila training with jeptoo right before she was busted. I have no doubt desi is clean but if that hypothetical happened, you know good and well that we ALL would have lots of questions about desi.

First of all isn't this thread about Hamza Driouch, why did you have to bring in all of this? Secondly I won't even comment on your knowledge of Islam because obviously you don't know anything at all. And at last, "wherever there are large numbers of Muslims there is violence and chaos" - have you ever been to Indonesia, the country with the biggest muslim population in the world? Where's the chaos? What about Malaysia? Kuwait? UAE?

bans are retroactive. So if they tested him in Dec, but it took until feb for them to announce the test results, they say he was banned since Dec, regardless of what he did in jan and feb, its ridiculous.
