Thread from 2014, still hanging around...
Anyway, I was a big fan of the original Energy Boost 1, put many many miles on a couple of pair before Adidas did what Adidias does, which is to phukk with a winner by wrecking it. Energy Boost 2 and 3 were each a little worse and Adidas made it virtually impossible to find deals on previous generations as well. I tried the Ultras which turned out to be bloated heavy squishy things. Yuck.
Luckily I found myself at an outlet mall this week and bought a heavily discounted pair of 2017 Supernovas. They're not as good as the original Energy but are pretty close and for $70 I'll happily put 700 or 800 miles on them. They fit well. They use Continental rubber instead of that shite ultra marshmallow sole they had used recently, and like the original Energy, they put your feet on that glorious, but not too fat, slab of Boost material.
If, like me, you went away from Adidas Boost trainers because they strayed from the original Energy formula, take a look at the current Supernova. Solereview didn't like them, but that's why Solereview can kiss my A. They're pretty close to the experience of running in the original Energy Boost. Good.
