A dose of female perspective here - their apparel is much better (from a fit, comfort, and performance standpoint) than most of the ill-fitting stuff out there. I've worn just about every brand (perks of working at a running store), and I can attest from personal experience that there's a reason why "everyone loves oiselle so much." It's priced competively (unless you're comparing to the cheap stuff at Target).

Let's see 12 years with Nike and a couple Olympic teams, a WC medal, and they made a nice profit on their house in Portland. Not bad for 35 years old. They can probably take a bit of a risk--and for them much smaller than all but 0.01% here.

That leaves the more desperate/progressive off-brands, something like Newton, Skechers, or even Hoka. My guess would be Newton or Hoka at this point.

but quickly it was a household brand.
Adidas is usually pronounced :ah DEED us" in the USA but "Ah dee DAS" in Europe. It's short for Adi Dassler company founder.
Companies should think carefully before naming their brand.
Personally I think Oiselle is a dumb name.
