Agreed, this was great. In general, I am incredibly impressed with the coverage thus far. Good announcing makes a world of difference. John Anderson is crushing it

I'm pretty sure the women's feed is out. In the media room they show us 3-4 cameras at once. There are 12+ tvs in here. We haven't seen a women's camera in a while. That screen is just blank.

I heard the commentators mention that two elite runners could not start the race due to dislocating their shoulders during introductions while slapping high fives with fans.

2 million spectators!!!??? Ha. the 1 million number they used to proudly throw around was ridiculous. so i guess they just decided that another 1 million people would come out and watch?

26.2 x 5280 = 138,336 feet of running in the marathon

1 million / 138, 336 = 7.2 spectators per foot of course

2 million = 14.2 spectators per foot of course

The numbers only increase if you toss out the first 2 miles of the course because there are no spectators on the bridge.

John Anderson. Thanks--that's who I thought it was because they were (obviously) calling him John and I thought I recognized the voice. Always thought he was one of the better people on Sports Center and he is doing a very good job. The commentating has been great so far and now that the men's race has started they're focusing a lot more on the roads.
