I ran it last year and watching the images on TV really got me. I kept imagining how horrible it would have been if my mom or girlfriend (who watched me last year) had had their limbs blown off. I feel really awful for all the people who were injured in this. For some reason it seems worse to me that it was primarily spectators who were injured.

Newtown survivors were honored guests of the BAA today and reportedly were at the VIP area at the finish line. Not sure if any were still there when the explosions took place,

As an undergrad I did a couple of case studies on terrorism. We can't even start an analysis without knowing who the actor was. The FBI has secured an intact, undetonated bomb. This will reveal a lot, hopefully.

At the start they had drug/bomb sniffing dogs in training, I wish they had taken them to the finish. I was very relieved to get track of everyone I know who cheered/ran. Incredible crowds supporting people giving all they had. This sickens me, but the human spirit prevails when people run towards the blast to help the injured.
