I do, however, from time to time bring home a few dollars at lower key popular races. It's great. Can pay for drinks, dinner, a nice little saturday. To think that a total piece of shit amateur wanna be hawkish road runner has either pushed my result down the podium and/or reduced/eliminated nominal money i was entitled to enrages me.

alene reta. I'm sure some people here know this name; i've always amazed at the breadth and depth of knowledge some readers/posters exhibit. This low life piece of shit is also a noted doper and name-changer to boot. Google will tell the story of him. The current story and runner is no better or different.

I'm glad he remains on the west coast. If he ever got to the line for a race with me, i guarantee he wouldn't finish it. This person is the lowest of the low, an amateur talent who preys on other amateurs. Total slime. Fraud. Stay out of Philadelphia.

This is impossible in one of the Pro running groups. If one of Jerry's or Alberto's athletes were to step forward their running career would be over.

Scott Douglas's report in a Runner's World article on Hesch shows the guy has no regrets and was still trying to weasel/manipulate his ways out of the consequences. He had been confronted by his teammates w/ evidence back in July and yet still raced and collected prize money as he did at the Pittsburg Mile and Providence Rock 'n Roll Half.

His "confession" article on the NYT today was nothing but self-serving and designed to extract sympathy for him than to help clean up the drug culture. Read both articles and decide for yourself if CH is truly sincere in his confession or not.

What he probably meant was "I used EPO for the build up and then stopped a week before competition to have it out of my system in case of testing"

Sport has never been clean. Early Olympians used to have their pancreas removed to drop weight as well as taking small doses of strychnine.

Educate and test. Develop better tests. Don't make mistakes like claiming PEDS are dangerous if not abused. Don't make the same mistakes made with steroids or HGH, promulgating scare campaigns which destroyed the credibility of the medical community and did irreparable harm.

Don't give prize money without tests.

If there's no prize money, who cares? Using becomes a lifestyle choice. Like breast implants.

Change the culture that allows "grey market" supplements and supplemental thyroid. Just because you can pass a test, or a substance hasn't been banned doesn't mean it's ethical.

Sorry TX, but injecting yourself 54 times with a banned substance in order to win races is NOT a mistake. It is systematic cheating. That meets the definition of a cheater and so that is what he is.

Maybe he will change and no longer cheat but he must own his past actions.

Dude you suck. When you're on the cusp of becoming really good, it is tempting; but what makes you a man is that you don't give in to those temptations (anywhere in life ie cheating on a wife, cheating on taxes, cheating some college kids out of money at a road race...)

I can respect people who not only apologize, but try to make it right. go look up the results from the people you stole the most prize money from and start systematically giving it back. As a college kid, i lost $25 and a $50 Itunes gift card, coming in 11th instead of 10th when you won. Send me the money please, I earned it, you didn't.

Have fun knowing all the money you won and fame you got actually belongs to some mexican pharmacist, not you. Your worth as a human literally earned none of it. thats a bummer to live with
