Penn Relays 4x800 who ya got?

Beating up on 3rd tier teams with their 1:49, 1:49, 1:53, 1:50, 1:53, 1:54, 1:55, 1:55, 1:55 anchors gets you the same watch that that they gave the big boys in the DMR.

I'll concede your point. We can now safely say that if the fruit is hanging low enough the robots can actually pick fruit, even though only two apples in their basket are barely edible, and the rest were the rotten ones they found on the ground.

Hopefully enough of the big boys will run the 4x1500 tomorrow to tire them out for the 4x800, forcing them to set their baskets full of succulent fruit on the back porch while they rest.

You're descending into lunacy and no matter how these guys do YOU will always THINK you're justified. By playing down their accomplishment you try to make yourself right. You're like a rat in a corner fighting tooth and nail for survival.

If they win the 4x8 now it's going to be that the "big boys" ran the 4xmile. If they don't win you'll claim you're right. I've seen threads where you make a fool of yourself, but this is the worst. Attacking your alma mater in such a one minded provocative way. Do you have no decency or is this some single minded crusade against the current Penn State coaches?

I actually enjoyed Coach Groves swearing in the background at the beginning of the video more than anything else.

Huh? No, I said that hopefully the big boys will be too tired from the 4x1500 to leave the back door open for the runnnin' robots. I said a watch is a watch no matter how weak the competition. Theirs will keep time just as well as mine.

Chumps?? Really? Are Gibney and the NOVA boys eatng low lying fruit for beating out the those 'chump', anchors in the DMR (Ulrey, Batty, Hubers, McCarthy, etc.) who ran 1600 anhcor times that may not win HS nationals this year??

I suspect you don't have a clue as to what kind of talent was on those Florida and A&M teams.

These are arguably the 2 best SMR teams in the nation....and PSU knocked them off using their NCAA #3 800 runner on the 400 leg. A great story if you ask me.

It's rather ignorant of you to use the analogy of 'oh well yea they got their watches...but it was against chump competition'. They knocked 2 of the 3 deepest sprint and long sprint programs in the country!!! The SMR is a specialty of these programs!!

These are young kids... PSU has a freshmen and 2 sophomores on the team (18-19 years old) doing what they love. Foster dug deep and won them the wheel...your a 'supposed' PSU alum for F*ck$ sake, be happy and embrace this.

The result, he didn't fade in the straight like he usually does.

Now if he can resist the urge to want to take the lead early again today, and save it for the final furious 100m, he'll at least put himself in position to do it again. It all depends on who the two weak links, and whether or not they can restrain themselves for 600m. If one of the two is Dawson, then that is a safe leg, becasue of all of the robots, he's the one who consistently runs smart. Then you're left with either Borchers or Williams. Both are crap-shoots. If you can get a sub 1:50 out of them, it should be considered a major accomplishment. They are more likely to run in the 1:52-1:55 range than 1:48-1:49. Someone should light a fire under their asses!

It's obvious by that interview I've gotten into their underperforming skulls.

Now let's see if they can channel that fire that was lit when they raced against the girls into a race against the men.

At least they are making you feel that your insignificant posting on this board actually means something and you have an actual impact on the running community. I will give you a tip: division 1 runners do not care in the slightest what you have to say- especially all-americans who just laugh at you.

Sure they read 'letsrun' because they are fans of the sport and I am sure they responded to you as a joke- because honestly they know you are just that- a joke. Have fun continuing to bash them because I know posting on this and getting annoyed response like this just fuel your fire
