Listen I am not going to argue that Braun had a good career. All I am going to say is he has been favored many times in the last few years and he has not been able to pull it through. I never mentioned the Adams State men choking they ran a great race. I do believe however that Braun being heavily favored by ever one did not pull through like they expected. Maybe you shouldn't have talked so much trash before the race about how he was going to win. That would make his finish 30 seconds behind the leaders not look so bad. You decided to suck his balls before hand and he didn't pull through like you talked nonstop about. Keep on sucking on though.

What's your problem? Why is it so offensive to you that Aaron didn't win? He was there, running as a member of a very successful team, which is clearly much more than you can say.

And who really gives a shit about those polls anyway? They don't mean anything; they're just a promo to get people interested in the race.

At the end of the day, successful people will continue to be successful. Five years from now, no one will even remember who won the race. This is, after all, Division II.

Ok first off yes he did run today but I would bet the NCAA wouldn't allow me to run due to the fact I have used up my eligibility 10 years ago. Second don't look at the polls look at all of the trash talk that people (adams) were talking about him winning. Finally, in five years no one will remember who won the team race either. Both stats will probably be looked up if anyone cares.

How exactly am I being a baby? You are the one whining about Braun being talked about. I have some tissues if you need them to wipe your tears after his choke job.

First, don't assume that I previously posted boasting about Braun's chances. Anyone associated with Adams should know they basically had 3 studs this year and to pick one over another was a shot in the dark. Second, name the times that Braun was "favored." Definitely not last fall against Bauhs. He won the indoor mile, so I guess the one time he didn't win as the "favorite" was the 1500 last May when he doubled the 5/15 and lost the 15 by a fraction of a second. So, again, quit talking out of your ass. You sound really immature for someone who has been out of college for 10 years.

The most important thing to Adams State and Braun is that the team won. They also had the individual winner. They dominated because they think team first every year. Individual based programs like Western are slipping though. Take Donnan (he graduates) out of the scoring and you have to add 50 points to their total. They are still second but battling it out with Mines in a weak year. It is only a matter of time until another "Abilene" rises and Western will be battling to finish third. Look at how the Western women have fallen off the planet. Adams and Braun are proud tonight...are you?

Yes I am extremely proud to be who I am. Thanks for asking. Please don't tell me that Braun didn't want to win the individual title. You can say what you want but he did not have the race that he should have yesterday. 30 seconds behind the leaders is definitely not where he should have been.

Frankly speaking, you're an idiot. Adam's top 5 are graduating. Take those guys out and their team score looks pretty bad too....what kind of an example are you trying to portray? Donnan is on the team isn't he? Western did run poorly. So did Adams in 04,05. Great programs have off days. Both teams still dominated the nation. When abiliene was around, wasn't both Adams and Western fighting for second? Yes, I think so.

I understand you're defending Braun. You should, the guy is a freak athlete, and this other guy is a retard. But don't lower yourself to him.

Wow you must be another disgruntled fan that got beat out by our school. I will say again, why the hate? Phillips has put together a program in 5 years that made it to the national championships. Its a far cry from the program in years past when you would have people walking off the track. Save your hate for some other team. You clearly have a strong hate towards DBU. And once again I will say...sorry you team didnt make it out of regionals ;)

I'm sure Braun wanted to win, but you don't know him very well if you think he's not thrilled for the team and Mwei. Where's your list of national meets Braun was "favored" to win? Did you realize you put your foot in your mouth and now the best you've got is "30 seconds behind the leaders is definitely not where he should have been." That's a brilliant observation.

Congrats to everyone who raced this weekend at SIU. It was true cross country with a tough course and tough competition. You guys represent college running at its core. Training as hard as anyone with little or no scholarship dollars. Adams I wish you could race the Di's on Monday. Too bad those days are over. The men would have been top 4.

the DII schools that think they can compete should stop whining about it and go DI... it is apples and oranges.

How many DI schools want to compete at DII nationals...no one because it doesn't matter.

In response to the Western women "falling off the planet", you are in no place to talk. You have NO IDEA what they have been through this year. I can guarantee no other team has had to endure what they have. They have lost a best friend, teammate and coach in the last 5 weeks. Show some respect for a grieving team.

Races Braun has not run well in. 2009 XC Championships (favored to win by many ends up 5th 30 seconds back). 2009 Track 1500 A 5k runner Michael Crouch moves down to beat a heavily favored Aaron Braun). 2009 Track 5k (again Braun who has a much better pr but is beat by Kirwa). I won't even mention the 2008 5k where he bonked for a 14:45. Is that enough of a list for you. Let's see after all the talk he has the 2008 1500 championship. Not living up to the hype if you ask me.

Man, I'll give you credit for effort. I'm not sure what your motivation is to discredit Braun, especially 10 years out of college, but whatever rocks your boat.

2009 XC - favored by many, but as I pointed out, he was one of 3 studs on his own f***in' team, you do the math. Mwei had been the most consistent of the three and, guess what, he won on Saturday.

2009 Outdoor - Braun doubles and loses his speciality to Crouch, who didn't double. Again, as I previously posted, he lost to a great runner by a fraction of a second. How can you say it's a meet in which he didn't run well?

2008 5k - Hadn't Braun already won the 1500? You're a tough critic.

Any non-biased observer would admit that Braun has been a big-time performer at national meets and that's why so many picked him to win on Saturday despite a season in which he was at times only the 3rd best guy on his own team.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Braun's record includes 2 outdoor 15 titles, 1 15 runner-up finish, 2 indoor titles, a DMR title?, and a few XC All-American finishes plus two team titles in XC. Yeah, a guy that never comes through when it counts.
