It must take a lot of confidence in training and results at other distances to come in with a 2:09+ PR and hit the half at sub-2:05 pace!

When your half time is sub 60, I think you'll be willing to mix it up in the marathon regardless of your previous times.

What happened to the Kimbia runners? Did they target Chicago this year?

Yep, I noticed that the top 2 Kenyans wanted no part of the Gatorade that was being pushed on them. I doubt that they had any of it on the course either. They were saving it for the 5 and 6 hour people...

The workers at the finish look like idiots. And commentators need to shut up about the guy that is running with the lead women.

about as insane as going into a race with a 2:40+PR and hitting the half of a marathon at 2:14 pace..just takes training..can't base what any runner will run off of their previous PR's on any given day after that PR has been set, the commentators at berlin were doing the same thing with the Kenyan who was running with Geb..holy shit..this guy has a 2:10:20 PR and he is on 2:05 pace, runners do it all the time, is great when they prove others wrong..the best thing in sport!..keep it going Mike R!!!!!!!

Also, very funny about the Gatorade. Evans just grabbed the water and looked at the Gatorade like she was handing him a mug of coffee.

Did Moes Tavern pick? I called him after the "scandal" and he said he wouldn't pick LR contests anymore. He said they'd just find a way to screw him anyway. Hard to tell if he was really mad or not.
