Platty is getting left behind. The guy is a massive talent but wont get picked for any major champs til he can compete with the big guns in the Junior ranks ie Niall Brooks, Robbie Schofield, Michael "The Salt" Salter. They must have a great training group up in Manchester now with Jase Grimshaw getting back into good 400m shape, Kev Webster looking a bit tasty over the chase and Platty knocking out quality sessions with Brooks, Lancashire et al

Why hasn't Platty raced indoors this season. Is this something to do with him going out to Tenerife (obviously to get some warm weather training in) and getting engaged to former English Schools 800m champion, Kylie Turner. I think she was out there with the rest of the Stockport Harrier crew.

Great News!
After a period away from the sport due to family issues David Plat is back!
He raced this weekend for England at the Northern Road relays for Weatherfield AC. Hopefully he will now fulfil his promising talent.
