Tarzan Brown is from Narragansett RI.
I stand corrected...I thought he or his family moved to the Mystic area after his early success.

He may have Ray. I know there is a race named after him in Mystic. However, he was born in RI and lived there for some time during his marathon success. Tarzan Brown and Les Pawson are the only Boston marathon winners from RI.
I have been through the names and as an outsider, I ask where were the following from :
Pat Porter
Dick Beardsley
Johnny Grey
Steve Scott
Mark Nenow [ loved the stories about this guy ]
Mary Decker
Sorry, if there a few repeats .. but I didn't see them mentioned

What about the elder Ron Hussey? What about Marty Glickman? And New York?s Paddy McCrary almost broke the world record in the 400 hurdles, sadly in a race where two other Americans shattered it.
Why did I think that Shorter was originally from Massachusetts (after his family returned to the States).
Glenn McFadden might be another overlooked CT runner.
