Has there ever been anyone in the history of letsrun who could babble on like FW? I know for the most part this is a little game for you, baiting people with the hyper Ritz talk. But, dang, you are so full of crap and hot air it is almost unbelievable.
Not a game, and I'm not baiting people. I truly don't believe Ritz is thought of in the light he should be, and I'm honestly more than a bit surprised by it. He's done about as much as a 23-year-old American who has been through some injuries can do. For some people to put Ian Dobson in the same class with Ritz to me is insane. Dobson ran one very good 5,000. Doesn't mean he's Ritz's equal.
Wasn't too long ago that I was defending Webb in the same way, and many of you said his mile PR from high school would be his career PR. I said he'd be below 3:50 by now, and of course he has been. Why didn't I say the same things about Hall or Magness or any of the other recent high school stars? Because they weren't as talented as Webb. Same goes for Ritz. All those American guys (Webb excluded) who went to high school and college in and around the same time as Ritz do not have his talent -- not even close to it. He will bear that out before long. I knew Michael Aish would run 2:19 at Chicago a few years ago when lots of you called me a dumbass, and he ran 2:19:12 (I was off by less than a half second per mile). Webb surprised me against Ritz in the 10,000, so good for him (beat him by a second!). I never said I was perfect.
How does having an opinion (and educated on at that) make me full of hot air? Right now, you and I are just offering opinions, but yours is right and I'm full of hot air? I take it you're not a lawyer nor have you ever had a debate class.
