(I see you admit that Norway is much stronger per capita. 😭)
NORWAY ALSO HAS MORE GOLDS THAN THE U.S. IN DISTANCE RUNNING.
For events 800m+, in the last 5 global championships (post-pandemic: 2021 OG, 2022 WC, 2023 WC, 2024 OG, 2025 WC), Norway has 4 golds while the US has only 3.
You lose again!
(Take out the 800 to make it actual "distance running, and it's 4-1 for Norway.)
Desperate cherry picking by you. You left out the global indoor championships. Include those golds as they should be, and US has more. Count all medals in the distances, and US has more. Count golds and medals in all events, and US wins again because we have the most well rounded track and field team in the world. USA is #1.
This is false. If you include the last 4 indoor global championships, the gold medal tally is 6-3 in Norway’s favor for distance events.
Every word is spelled correctly, so the joke is on you, clown.
Yes you edited your post when you quoted yourself after I reprimanded you for your mistakes. You are fooling nobody.
Are you OK? It's not even possible to edit posts when one isn't signed in.
And wtf are you talking about, anyway?
I posted that the Olympic decathlon champion could easily make the US's mediocre decathlon team. You complained about my use of the word "literally." Let's talk about the actual question at hand: could anyone in Norway "not named Jakob or Karsten make the US team?
Just admit that an objective analysis shows multiple Norwegians could easily make the American team: Ingebrigtsen, Karsten, AND Jaeger (WC finalist), Rooth (Oly gold), Kibrab (2:04)... probably Nordas and/or Berg who both ran faster than Hocker/Nuguse last year...
Counting WIC gold medals alongside Olympic medals makes you a joke.
Ajee Wilson > Keely Hodgkinson ? (2-1)
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
It all counts. Keely is racing this weekend isn't she? Stop cherry picking.
HAHAHA and you think a world indoor championship win will rank the same as her Olympic gold?
You're a joke.
Everyone knows WIC is watered down. Nobody counts those wins on the same level as Olympic golds and we all know it. Cute for cherry-picking, though!
Hey, don't cry... 😭
Maybe a second athlete from the US can get a global distance win this decade. Two out of 340 million would be nice for you, wouldn't it? Let's see how it goes in Beijing 2027!

Hahaha this "Times Change" guy is such a clown.
Even with his cherry-picking attempt to bring in he loses. (Bryce Hoppel and Elle St Pierre... proving my point as they've won the "little league" but never come close gold in the real championships; top finishes are Hoppel 4th 2024, St. Pierre 8th 2024.)

We were talking about post 2020. The distance event gold medal count is 8-6 in favor of USA.
Athing Mu x 2 Elle St. Pierre Ajee Wilson Josh Hoey Bryce Hoppel Cole Hocker x 2
vs
Jakob Ingebrigtsen x 6
The gold medalist count is 6-1 in favor of USA.
That's just distance running golds. Add all the other events for the entire sport. Another landslide victory for USA Track & Field.

Norway >> USA in distance golds.
5.5M vs 340M.
Yes. Jakob is an all time great and he has elevated Norways status on the distance side. He pretty much solos the gold medal count against the US. The US makes up for it though through the sprints which they are superb at.

Wow, a few Norwegians could make the USA track and field team (not Nordas or Berg)! How special! Now do the other way around, LOL

Moron. You can change any post you are quoting. You changed it while you were quoting yourself. You are a liar. Grow up!

Um...why?
Some idiot suggested that only Ingebrigtsen and Warholm could make the US team.

Seriously, what are you actually talking about??
Whether or not I "edited a post" (???) about you complaining about the use of the word "literally" on an online forum???
It seems like you live in a weird little spectrum-influenced world where you perseverate on trivialities.
I prefer to focus on the matter at hand: an idiotic post that suggested only two Norwegians could make the US team. In addition to Ingebrigsten and Warholm, Rooth is better than your best decathlete, and the only US woman who could beat Jaeger in the 2025 WC (or even make the final) is now pregnant.
Further, the US team at the 2025 WC was a fleet of dump trucks: 13th place for a Kenyan-American and two guys who couldn't even make the final.
Let us know when an American runs 2:04:24 like a Norwegian has. (The US team in 2025 was also piss-weak: 9th, 28th, 40th lol.)

Character matters kid. When you lie about this sort of deal you have lost all credibility permanently with me. Good luck.

Works for me. When you focus on use of the word literally, or an obvious typo, rather than the actual issue at hand, you never had any credibility with me.
(And I can't tell you how much the opinion of an anonymous internet poster doesn't mean to me.)
Norway has more WC and Olympic distance golds than the USA this decade, even with a tiny population.
Or do you prefer the latest scoreboard?
2025 WC, 800-marathon, 36 medals:
Kenya 11 Ethiopia 4 Great Britain 3 Italy 3 France 2 Algeria 1 Australia 1 Bahrain 1 Belgium 1 Canada 1 Germany 1 Morocco 1 New Zealand 1 Portugal 1 Uruguay 1 Sweden 1 Tanzania 1 United States 1 🥹
🤣
Even American track fans agree: this is quite pathetic.
More desperate cherry picking from you. I said USA Track & Field. That includes distances, sprints, and field. USA Track & Field is #1.
LOLOL. 🤡🤡🤡
Now you want to argue that the US is good at something other than distance running?
OK, let's include Norway's cross-country skiing, and China's gymnastics team. 🤣🤣🤣
This is a distance running forum, on a distance running website. The salient discussion is about distance running.
But sure, the USA is great at some other things that are not distance running. Feel better now?
😭😭😭
