Dwight Stones is so bad. He said Florida is still in the mix for the women's title. It is clear they are going to win easily even though they aren't winning yet. They will be after the 3k

Stones can't be worse than Norm Ogilvie. If that man ever gets an athlete's name correct it is by pure accident.

And that seals the deal. Gators ha e won. Dwight couldn't see it coming of it smacked him in the face.
So this Texas A&M 800m freshman is the real deal. Beats the Arkansas guys and already has about mstched his 800m outdoors PB. 25.6 for the last 200 is impressive.
Apparently Narumbe's 1:46.13 in Jan tied for 2nd fastest 800m by a FR in NCAA history. Another Aggie was fastest frosh ever. He had a great pro comeback last year. Shoes to fill.
Texas Tech gets the sweep. In the men's 4x4 they only needed one point for the win and they were one of the favorites. One of their guys got tangled up with another runner and they both fell. He got up and finished his leg and they were able to get the one point they needed.
On the women's side they had a 6.5 point lead over BYU. Their anchor was leading down the stretch when she went wobbly allowing BYU to make the inside pass for the win. She was stumbling to her right and bumped into the Kansas State anchor who she beat by 0.003. So they take the win by 4.5 points.
Big Sky - Sahlman avoided bad tactics by bolting to the front and time trialed 1:46.11 to win 800m. Waterfall start 26.2 / 51.7 / 1:17.? / 1:46.11 (54.4).

Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, which goes Sunday-Monday in Reno. Will be interesting if Evans Kurui of Washington State gets into the NCAAs as he's outside the top 20 in the 5000. Ditto for Solomon Kipchoge, who hasn't raced since Boston in December.
