When I ran my first 800m I knew from watching numerous races on tele that I should try to take the place behind the front runner trying to stay there until the finish.
And if the runner doesn´t want to go to the front immediately then hug the rail until the 500m mark and then move.
I'm not directing this specifically at him but the problem with micro dosing is you can't dose again after your peak race. We might be seeing the results of having to micro dose to make the US team at this meet.
That's just where he is this year. He's not in 1:41 shape so he has to fight through these rounds. He's doing well if he makes the final. It's all on Donny B for the US now

With all due respect, you too might find your objective knowledge difficult to execute in a World Championships race. But it’s nice to know your expertise is superior to those who actually qualified for this meet.
