I don't think Bednarek could give two sh-ts about Lyles looking across at him at the finish. But to then to ever so imperceptibly slow down as you cross in front of him while chirping at him - he got in Bednareks space while they were still moving. I mean if Bednarek doesn't push him he clatters right into the back of him and they probably both eat the track.
Kenny emotional? He went right up to Noah to apologize (even though it wasn't his fault) and Lyles stiffed him. GTFOH.
O...M...G.
You literally have to be on drugs. You just completely made up a scenario that didn't happen based on your bias. 👏 👏 👏.
Of course kenny shoved him because lyles stared him down and possibly said something after running him down. You think kenny would have shoved him if lyles hadn't looked at him? You think kenny only did it because he was afraid of crashing into lyles, and that if he didn't do it, they both would've " eat[en] the track?! " Absolute BS. HE DIDN'T LIKE LOSING TO LYLES. HE DIDN'T LIKE LYLES LOOKING AT HIM AND SAYING SOMETHING... SO HE SHOVED HIM OUT OF ANGER.
PERIOD. Then.... When Lyles was like " WTF?! " Kenny rightfully apologized for getting physical.
Your post described an alternate reality that doesn't exist. Congrats for losing all credibility.
I think it happened just as Sal described. Kenny is mild mannered
It's 2025, fellas. Lyles and Bednarek have been texting each other all week about how to best manufacture some drama and make themselves some extra money. Mission accomplished!
i think in the interview kenny pretty much said it was because of the way he looked at him. somebody who actually watched the interview, please correct me if im wrong.
Kenny and his GF were running that insta account trashing other track athletes, including Noah and his now wife. Noah gave him some business irl and "KungFu" couldn't take it.
Kenny’s girlfriend is a pro golfer from India. You think *she* has any interest in, or time to go, digging into the intricate private lives of runners? That’s laughable 😄
Go back to the overhead view video on page 2. Lyles finishes and is decelerating towards lane 8 angling completely away from Kenny. Kenny changes direction to chase him down and has to accelerate to push Lyles in lane 8. At no point in time was Lyles in front of Kenny or crossing his path.
And there are several entire pages of comments talking about how Lyles impeded Kenny. Entire website full of tards.
I like both Lyles and Kung Fu Kenny so I see this as mere entertainment. I'm not sure why someone would make a comment based on complete fiction and make themselves look stupid.
It was a shove between competitors. Was it appropriate? No but talk of assault (it's actually battery) is ridiculously soft. Kenny lost his cool and realized it immediately and apologized. No harm, no foul.

It was a thug move and showed a complete lack of impulse control and poor sportsmanship. Own it Kenny: Noah shouldn't have done the stare but you took it to another level and made yourself look even worse and embarrassed yourself on a nationwide stage. Horrible example to young fans.
And I'm not sure about an apology but he was still yapping about it later and called Noah unsportsmanlike and didn't own what he did.

She's currently a 'pro' golfer in the same way guys who get a tiny stipend to go to regional meets and get knocked out in the heats are 'pro' athletes. Not sure she's even played in an official tournament since 2022.
that was an intentional push. kenny got emotional because he lost and felt humiliated.
Yeah did you guys actually watch this incident?

So this is exactly what i've been seeing from the beginning of this thread and people downvote me and disagree with me. But you write it, and you currently have an 8-0 up vote. Wild.
Look, I can understand people making the argument that lyles "deserved" the shove for acting like a jackass, but in no way shape or form did Kenny do it because he had to to avoid a collision. He did it because he was pissed off over losing and getting stared down. And anyone who says otherwise is blind, Insanely biased, or trolling.

You’re half right. The problem is that the timeline and what happened is all on video, so there’s no need for you to embellish and add alternative facts.
Kenny was mad about the stare down and unprofessionalism. That’s what prompted the reaction. He has never acted this way to my knowledge just from getting beat (and Kenny getting walked down in the straight has even developed into a pattern).
Kenny immediately knew he was in the wrong and went to both apologize but also try to reason with Noah to knock it off. Noah responded with some BS and ended with some comment about respect (you can catch snippets if you have a good enough sound system).
In short, Noah was wrong, then Kenny was wrong, then Kenny half-tried to extend an olive branch and it got rejected.
And all this Trackspice stuff is speculation that borders on defamation territory unless someone plans on posting something solid. Noah either has a PR team of ninjas or this is typical message board stirring-the-pot drivel. I stand by that Kenny really isn’t the type until proven otherwise.

Bednarek should have some respect for the man who beat him. Losers don’t get to disrespect winners. There need to be consequences for this.

I agree with this. When I first watched the footage, I thought Lyles had deliberately run in front of Bednarek, & the latter had to shove him out of the way. But on re-watching it from a completely different angle, clearly Bednarek could have avoided him, and the push was done out of frustration/anger/whatever emotion he was going through at the time.
My personal view is if you act up, provoke & stare down like Lyles did,, then prepare for someone like Bednarek to not react very positively. This is a super-adrenaline charged situation and these are grown men with their careers at a critical point: selection or not selection. As for the nonsense chat re 'assault'....get a life folks, it's nowhere near that serious. A little argy-bargy is good for the sport.
NBC painted Kenny as the villain for giving Noah a light shove. All to prop up their poster boy Noah who can do no wrong.
Even though the stare down and words exchanged before hand by Noah apparently wasn’t grounds for Kenny to stand his ground?
Found the coverage distasteful.
I think you are more right than anyone knows. Lyles is utterly unlikable and a punk and a poor sport. I can assure you Lyles wouldnt pull that stuff in a dark alley. Kung fu Kenny would eat him for dinner. I think kenney would have loved to flatten him, but was aware he was representin' and on TV. Good for him for just settling for a little reminder shove.
I don’t know, you kind of do have to give Lyles a shove when you’re coasting through at 17 mph. That is standing your ground. what did you want Kenny B to do? stop in his tracks like a cartoon character? lyles should have stayed in his lane.
I don't think any of you watched the race. Lyles was nowhere near him after the finish, Kenny pushed him because he stared him for a solid 5-mississippi. He can haul off and hit him, but nice shove to remind him is fine. Lyles starts all this stuff half the time he runs, he is an instigator.
